What is St Mark Festival?
It is a world wide Coptic Orthodox church competition for all ages. It was a dream of the great His Holiness Pope Shenouda III may the Lord preserve him on his seat for many years. The dream came true by the tireless efforts of His Grace Bishop Moussa and His Grace Bishop Rafael, other Bishops and hundreds of servants throughout the Coptic Orthodox Church, worldwide.
St Mark Festival 2011?
Without any doubt we are indebted to the Lord for the spirit He has graced us with in the diocese of Sydney.
We have been blessed with a team of servants who are sincerely dedicated to implement the elements of the festival with all its attributes to our children, youth, mums, dads and even grandparents.
The excitement of all the participants in 2010 has encouraged us all to sacrifice all what we can in time and effort to enjoy another challenge in 2011.
We are proud to see the benefits of this great event; the growth in Biblical knowledge, in church doctrine, history and language, and the priceless opportunity for us all who are from different parishes to come together under one banner in Christ.
The Theme for 2011 is "Christ is our Life".
