Graphic Art (PRIMARY: KG - Year 6)
Conditions of entry:
1. The servants have to read the conditions carefully. 2. The art work is to be presented well. 3. The art work is to be creative and done by the person themself. 4. Repetitive work is not allowed or taken from others, must be original. 5. It has to represent the theme of the year (Christ is our life – 2011). 6. The final work is not to be the use of a ready drawn saints icon, puppet, doll or other accessories. That is, all work is to be original.
7. Artwork should be presented in a display folder with the following details included on each piece of artwork: Name, church, year level, servant’s name and the theme of the artwork which is to be according to the theme of the competition.
8. The artwork is to be submitted by 7th August 2011.
Kindergarten Level: (Complete 1 of these 2 options)
1. God loves us and He created heaven, earth, light, birds, trees, animals, water and fish. Draw any of these using whatever material you want.
2. Using a square, rectangle, circle, or any other shape, draw scenery of nature.
Year 1 & 2 Level: (Complete 1 of these 3 options)
1. God loves us and He created heaven, earth, light, birds, trees, animals, water and fish. Draw any of these using whatever material you want.
2. Design a card to give to your mum, dad or a friend on an A4 size paper. To make it creative, you can add other material (glitter, coloured paper etc…) on the drawing. 3. Using a square, rectangle, circle or any other shape, draw scenery of nature.
Year 3 & 4 Level: (Complete 1 of these 4 options)
1. Draw a nice vase with flowers of different colours and shapes using any material you like, however it should be on a flat surface (that is, 2D).
2. Design a card to give to your friend on Easter. 3. God made many miracles; if you met Jesus what miracle would you like Him to do for you? Draw this situation. 4. The Lord Jesus went to visit Mary and Martha, and suddenly Mary ran to Him and said Lazarus had died and that he has been dead for 4 days in the tomb, but the Lord resurrected him from death after the people rolled the stone of the tomb. Imagine yourself as being one of the people who moved the stone or you were with Mary and Martha as they were crying for Lazarus, and draw this scene as you would see it.
Year 5 & 6 Level: (Complete 1 of these 5 options)
1. Every one of us has a dream of what we want to be in the future. You may want to be a doctor, an engineer, a teacher or anything else. Draw a situation at your place of work that you imagine.
2. We always see Christ in our daily life when we visit a sick person or help a homeless person. Draw this situation as you would see it. 3. There are many things at home which can be used like empty boxes with different materials, clothes, plastic, seeds, etc… Using any of these materials (or any you can think of, but should be things you would find at home) make a robot, bird or animal in any design. 4. Take a photo of the nicest and funniest situations in your life at home, at school, on the street or any other place. But the subject should be something different/unique.
